Shahdara
Location
East of Delhi
Shahdara is like a small town in itself and one the oldest
settlements in Delhi. This place quite a known part of East Delhi.
It sets adjoining to the borders of Uttar Pradesh. You can still
find ruins from Mughal era in this part of the city.
The place is famous for abiding one of the oldest markets in Delhi.
'Chota Bazaar' situated here is the second oldest market in the
city. Most of the area here remains crowded almost every time of the
day. The bridge here connects this place to rest of the city.
Starting point of Delhi Metro, Shahdara have been able to gather a
lot of attention. This place houses many markets, hospitals,
schools, PG's , thus forming a complete residential area of East
Delhi. Shahdara is not a scenic place to explore but then it houses
one of the major part of Delhi's population.
